IGP Vicomté d’Aumelas
Château d’Aumelas is a vision that oozes history and style from the hilltop overlooking the Hérault Valley in the South of France.
The 8th century château was founded in the Middle Ages and it bears the stamp of all the knights and noblemen that have passed through.
Time and man may have left their mark on the impressive building, but it still has a sense of grandeur. If the walls could speak...
Aumelas was built as a viscountcy (or "Vicomté") during the reign of the lords of Montpellier and held onto the noble title when it joined the French Kingdom.
From its headland, never-ending vineyards growing regional varieties such as Grenache and Syrah unfurl towards Montpellier and the Mediterranean.
This selection of varieties brings tradition and innovation together to make elegantly complex wine.
IGP Vicomté d’Aumelas is an exclusive PGI that pays tribute to its glorious history and embodies the terroir with confidence and finesse.
Every bottle tells the tale of the land, elevated by legends surrounding the château and brought to life by modern, sustainable and responsible winemaking.
It does more than bottle a heroic and noble past; it promises to celebrate the history of mankind and innovation in every drop.
